Activities at Carham Hall

In addition to regular events held on the premises, Carham Hall organises visits to Edinburgh and local towns for shopping trips and seasonal events, these trips include The Gyle Shopping Centre on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The hall has a twelve seater mini bus fitted with a wheelchair lift, which enables most residents to take part in these visits. Each year residents are treated to a visit to the world renowned Edinburgh Military Tattoo, held at the parade ground in Edinburgh Castle.

Carham Hall has a professionally equipped hairdressing room and we have our own hairdresser who attends every Thursday, in addition a beautician visits, at the request of residents. Regular visits by the library bus are enjoyed.

Nearby Carham Church is open for Sunday Service on the fourth Sunday of every month and many residents like to attend. On occasions, church services are held in the hall itself.

Family members and friends are encouraged to visit and it is often possible to provide accommodation for anyone wishing to stay for the night.

The eight acres of grounds include lawns, an apple orchard, and American garden and a driveway down to the River Tweed where residents can enjoy walks in complete safety away from the hustle, bustle and hazards of city life.
